Examples of chemical reaction

A change of a substance forming a new one with a different chemical identity is a chemical reaction. Confirmation of a chemical change is done by chemical analysis of the product.

There are so many different types of chemical reactions and they have been classified into different reactions and categories.

Examples of chemical reaction is Synthesis Reaction or Combination Reaction – this is when 2 or more substances are combined to make a new compound with the equation:

Sodium loses an electron to make sodium cation and chlorine atom gains an electron and forms chloride anion. The outcome is the ionic compound sodium chloride.

The collision has to be precise to the angle and must have enough energy to break the hydrogen atom and the chlorine atom to make a new bond between the hydrogen atom and the nitrogen atom.

Another examples of a chemical reaction is an exothermic reaction. This happens when the reaction releases more energy needed than it takes to keep it going.

A reaction that requires constant application of energy to keep it moving is called endothermic reaction.

When Catalyst is added to a chemical reaction in which it increases the reaction without going through permanent change. Catalysts are used mainly in biochemical reactions so as to decrease the energy demands either for the animal or plant.
