This extra ingredient is nothing but molasses. This ingredient mixes perfectly with the other ingredients like cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. The purpose of using molasses is that it creates wonderful and smooth filling with a richer taste. 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 pinch of salt, 1/5 teaspoon of cloves that is grinded perfectly, ½ cup of sugar of the finest quality, 2 eggs, ¾ cup of milk, 1 pastry crust, 1 spoon of molasses, some ground cinnamon, 1/2teaspoon of ground ginger,1 ¼ cups of pumpkin puree and melted butter.

Let us review as to how a pumpkin puree is prepared:-

* Split a pumpkin into half. Now, remove the seeds and fibers.
* Keep the pumpkin on the side where it has been cut and cover it with a baking sheet. Now, bake it at about 350 degrees F until it becomes quite tender.
* Now, peel the skin away and make it still clear. Make the pulp clear.
* Now, the next step is to keep the pulp in a food processor that is fitted with a metal blade.
* Now, push the pumpkin puree through a sieve. Store the puree in a cup of suitable size and store it up to 6 months in a freezer.

The final recipe for preparing the pumpkin pie is as follows:-

* Heat it to about 350 degrees F initially.
* Take some milk. Heat it in a pan. Heat it till the milk starts to bubble slightly along the edges. As soon as it starts to bubble along the edges, stop heating it.
* Beat the eggs in a small vessel. Now, add the milk to it and blend them properly.
* Now, put the pumpkin puree, ginger, salt, molasses, sugar and cinnamon all together and mix them thoroughly.
* Now, pour them all in the crust and bake them properly. Bake them for about 45 minutes.
* Now, take it out and allow it to cool for some time.
* Now, beat chilled cream and serve it on top of the pie. Now, the pumpkin pie is ready to eat.
