Symptoms of gallbladder

The gallbladder is said to be a small organ which helps in the digestive process by storing bile produced in the liver.
There are some chief symptoms of gallbladder disease. Let us review the symptoms of gallbladder one by one:-

  • Abdominal pain

This is an important symptom of gallbladder.

If a person is infected with gallbladder disease, then he/she would experience acute abdominal pain especially in the upper abdominal. This pain would last anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours.

  • Shoulder pain

Another key symptom of gallbladder is that there will be short spells of pain in the shoulders. To put it more accurately, there would be pain in the back behind the shoulder blades. Another place where there would be frequent pain is the place under the right shoulder.

  • Nausea or vomiting

This is a vital symptom of gallbladder. People who suffer from gallbladder are known to experience bouts of nausea and vomiting. Sometimes, vomiting can get so heavy that abdominal cramps can also develop which can be extremely painful.

  • Abdominal bloating

This is another key symptom of gallbladder. The person who is affected will feel as though their stomach has become full and heavy and tight even though they would not have ate anything heavy. This condition is known to exist due to the presence of gallbladder disease.

  • Dizziness

People who are suffering from gallbladder experience dizziness at times during the day time when they are talking and acting normal. However, causes for dizziness can be plenty and there is no real way we can classify a person who is light headed to be suffering from gallbladder disease without proper diagnosis.

  • Constipation

This is a very vital symptom of gallbladder. Constipation is otherwise called as irregularity. It is medical scenario in which the affected person feels hard to expel faeces. This occurs since the colon absorbs too much amount of water from the food.

  • Diarrhea

This difficulty occurs due to gallbladder disease. It can either be watery or soft depending upon the seriousness of the disease. Diarrhea can sometimes exist for a week or so in the case of infants and when medicines have not been taken properly.

  • Headache

Sometimes, headache can develop which can serve as a good way of diagnosing gallbladder disease. Headache occurs usually above the eyes and that too, above the right eye. It causes pain and irritation. Tears will usually come from the eyes at the first speck of dust that it encounters.

  • Color of stools

The color of stools serves as an important symptom for gallbladder. If the stool is chalk colored or light, then it can be put into assumption that the person is suffering from gallbladder. This is said to be the starting phase of gallbladder and if proper medication is taken, then the disease can be stopped from moving to the advanced stages.

  • Gas

The continuous farting of gas from the anus can serve as a key symptom for gallbladder disease. Farts are part of daily activity. Sometimes, the affected person will be farting furiously at a steady rate. Hence, it can be diagnosed that something is wrong.
